Hello! I’m Stephanie, owner & maker behind Sweet Tangerine. I have always had a passion for art and design, and creating something whenever I get the chance. Whether it be redesigning my bedroom constantly as a child, revamping a piece of thrifted furniture, to most recently, renovating an old shed into my own Sweet Tangerine studio.
After graduating college with a degree in Art & Design, I received my first sewing machine as a graduation present…and I was immediately hooked! It was the first hobby I found that channeled my love of design, fashion, and creative expression.
When my husband and I decided to start a family, I left my career in the Interior Design field to stay home to raise our two boys. As a stay-at-home Mom, I had the urge to feed my creative outlet and initially started sewing accessories for friends and family. I received wonderful feedback about my pieces and soon realized that this hobby of mine could be something bigger and help support our little family. Soon after, Sweet Tangerine was born.
Sweet Tangerine has grown from a hobby that was born on our dining room table in between toddler naps…to the studio, website, and many customers around the nation I have today. Our roots remain as a company that prides itself on making every item by hand and creating unique and one-of-a-kind pieces that are perfect for gift giving or for treating yourself!
I currently reside in Chico, Ca with my husband and two boys.
